Passion, Purpose, & Perspective
Ms. Femetres Gray, Principal
The 2015-2016 school year brought many team successes. And, as we begin preparing for the 2016-2017 year of learning, I am happy to welcome incoming additions to our staff. I am happy to continue in my second year as instructional leader of Knight Road. During my 17 years with MCS and SCS, I have served in various other roles: as a classroom teacher, literacy specialist, and academic coordinator.
We continue to have amazing possibilities for the coming year. As the Knight Road Elementary School Principal, I am here to serve you, our students, and our school community; my office and ears are always open to you. I ask that you widen your arms and receive all of the new school community members and me into the Knight Road community. Let us begin our journey of continued success and support each other as we do.
Your leadership is encouraged and expected as we complete our continuing goals and embark on new work together. Good, better, best--never let it rest, until your good gets better and your better gets best!
One Community, One Vision: Excellence!

Room 21, Ext. 69010
Knight Road Family,
In the 2016-17 school year I will begin my third year as your PLC Coach and Instructional Facilitator at Knight Road. I'm happy to join Ms. Gray in welcoming families, students, faculty, and community partners to another exciting year at Knight Road Elementary. I've taught since 1996, and I've been at Knight Road Elementary for several years, serving as both a teacher and grade-level chair. I am delighted to continue strengthening the Professional Learning Community (PLC) process for our wonderful team of educators.
Our purpose, each day, as we enter this school facility is twofold: to instruct and to inspire the precious youngsters that arrive at our front door. From my perspective, once students come into our educational environment, we must ensure that we are prepared and purposeful in our instruction in order to model success. I am passionate about "good first teaching" (GFT), and I look forward to serving our fantastic school community this year with our teacher-leaders!
